Depression Therapy - Our True Expression

Person releasing a monarch butterfly into the air near a calm body of water.

Recovery from depression is possible.

You haven't been feeling like yourself lately. It feels like a dark cloud is hovering over you, making it hard to do the things you used to enjoy. You want to reach out to the people who love you and let them in, but you're afraid they might judge you or not understand.

It's becoming difficult to recognize yourself through the waves of dark thoughts and heavy feelings. A part of you is constantly reminding you of your shortcomings.

You know logically this won't last forever, but some days it's really hard to believe it. Sometimes it's hard to do the things that you know will help you because you feel so tired and unmotivated. You're ready to get back to being the curious, confident, and calm person you used to be before you got depressed. You're ready to enjoy life again!

As a human, I know first-hand what you're going through because I've struggled on and off with depression throughout my life. As a licensed therapist, I have provided support to many clients, similar to you, to not just recover from depression but to grow more resilient in the face of hardship and cultivate more kindness, compassion, and ease in relation to self and others.

There are many reasons why depression can occur. Sometimes it's a result of genetics and underlying conditions that make us more susceptible to it. Depression can also be triggered by a major change or loss (even 'positive' changes can be difficult to adjust to), unhealthy relationships, adversity, or unhelpful patterns with ourselves and others.

No matter what the reasons are, you're not doing anything wrong because you are experiencing depression, and you are capable of feeling better.

Often when we are experiencing depression, it can be quite challenging to be kind with ourselves. I am committed to providing my clients with a safe, warm, compassionate, strengths-focused, and non-judgmental space. Within this type of environment, my clients can access more kindness and compassion with themselves, which is crucial for mental health resilience.

I can help you to feel, heal, build your self-esteem, develop healthy coping strategies, process stuck emotions, and find inner balance and harmony again. You don't have to go through this alone.
